AGM Quorum and Levy Calculators

Free tools for South African bodies corporate and sectional title schemes. Check whether your general meeting has a quorum under the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act, and estimate what each unit should pay in levies.

People in the room or on the call, including proxy holders.

A unanimous resolution has its own requirement: at least 80% of all members, in number and value, must be present or represented before it can be put to the vote. The Act also caps any one person at holding two proxies.

Monthly levy calculator

Under section 3(1)(b) of the STSMA, levies are raised in proportion to each unit’s participation quota unless the scheme’s rules or a special resolution determine otherwise. Enter the budget and a unit’s PQ to see its share.

The amount budgeted for the 10-year maintenance plan.

On the sectional plan or your levy statement.

A once-off special levy raised by trustee resolution.

An estimate for budgeting and sense-checking. Your scheme’s registered rules, or a decision taken by special resolution, may apportion some costs differently.
